Bridgewater All Weather Fund (Australia)
Bridgewater All Weather Fund (Australia) (the "Fund") has been
specifically established for the benefit of Australian investors including
superannuation funds and professional investors wishing to achieve a
risk-adjusted excess return over cash (90-day Australian Bank Bills)
over a range of economic and market conditions. The Fund is a registered
managed investment scheme in accordance with the Australian Corporations
Act 2001.
The investment objective and policy of the Fund are to provide
attractive returns with relatively limited risks, with no material bias to
perform better or worse in any particular type of economic environment.
In other words, the portfolio is expected to perform approximately as well
in rising or falling inflation periods, or in periods of strong or weak
economic growth. It does this by holding investments in different asset
classes that have different biases to economic conditions. These asset
classes include the currency, fixed-income, inflation linked bond, equity,
and commodity markets. The Investment Manager will utilise exchange traded
futures contracts, over-the-counter derivatives, cash securities, commingled
vehicles and spot and forward contracts on the international, interbank
currency market.
