As part of the overall move to close the mFund Settlement Service in May, the ASX has approved the removal of the Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (Class A)(BLM01) from mFund, due to take place 27 March 2026.

We are also proposing Class A be quoted on the ASX as an actively managed exchanged traded fund (active ETF). Once approved by the ASX, Class A units will be tradeable like any other listed security under the proposed name Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (Class A) Active ETF (ticker: B1SM).We anticipate the Fund will launch as an active ETF on or around 30 March 2026.

Further details will be provided to investors over thecoming weeks. You can view the ASX announcement here.

What stays the same?

The Fund’s investment objective, benchmark, philosophy, process and ESG considerations remain unchanged. Importantly, the value of investors’ holdings will not be negatively impacted and there will be no tax implications.

What is changing?

The Fund will be renamed the Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (Class A) Active ETF and will become a dual access fund, accessible via the active ETF (default conversion) or traditional PDS-based investment (with the PDS becoming long-form).

What are mFund investors required to do?

Existing mFund investors don’t need to take any action – their mFund holdings with automatically be transitioned as summarised above.

What if mFund investors want to take action?

There are three options for investors.

▪ Option 1: transition to the active ETF – no action required.

▪ Option 2: transition to unlisted status – by asking their broker to send an ‘mFund CHESS Conversion Message’ and completing an online application form.

▪ Option 3: redeem (fully or partially) – using the normal exiting mFund process; this will need to be done no later than 19 March 2026.

What are the key dates?

▪ Last day for Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (Class A) mFund units to be redeemed: 19 March 2026

▪ Trading blackout period (allowing holdings to  be consolidated and transitioned): 20 March to 27 March 2026

▪ Bell Global Emerging Companies Fund (Class  A) removed from mFund: 27 March 2026

▪ Previous mFund holdings transfer completed and Active ETF live: 30 March 2026
